General Manager, Commercial & Finance

Blessing worked as a professional Consultant, Accountant and Auditor with the Firm of Grant Thornton International -An audit and Assurance Company in USA, UK and Asia - (Formally Spiropoulos& Co., Chartered Accountants) from 1997 – 2002. 

He had a stint in the Financial Sector as Head of internal Audit, and later Head of Finance with responsibility for Credit & Loans, Lease, Investment and capital market operations in 2003 at WSTC Financial Services Ltd – Formerly Wall Street Trust Company. 

Joined the Oil and Gas sector later in 2003 working with South Atlantic Petroleum Limited in conjunction with Total Upstream, Petrobrass and CNOOC where he played a key role in the Akpo field exploration and development and seeing it come on stream with production in 2009.He has been involved in Financial and Corporate Strategy, Credit, Risk and Assets Management, Loan negotiation, syndicationand funding, Crude sales negotiation and pricing 

He joined Midwestern as the Financial Controller in 2010. He is currently the General Manager and Head of Commercial as well as oversees the general pipeline business Operated by Midwestern. 

Qualification:
A graduate of Banking and Finance from the University of Benin, Benin City, Edo State; graduated with second class upper division. 

Blessing also holds a Master's Degree in International Business Management (MBA - Lagos) and M.Sc. in Strategic Planning from the Edinburgh Business School, Heriot Watt University, Scotland, United Kingdom, A Graduate of the Emerging Chief Financial Officer Program (ECFO) – Stanford University and Leading Change and Organizational Renewal (LCOR) - Harvard University both in the USA and a Leadership certificate from IESE Business School Barcelona (Spain). He is a Graduate of the Chief Executive Programme (CEP) and an Alumnus of the Lagos Business School. 

He is a Fellow (FCA) of The Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN) 

A Fellow (FCTI) of the Chartered Institute of Taxation of Nigeria (CITN), 

An Associate of the Chartered Institute of Securities and Investment (CISI, UK)
