Boma Alalibo is the Head, Community Affairs at Midwestern Oil & Gas Company Limited. She holds a degree in Chemistry at the University of Calabar, Rivers State.
She has over 24 years of vast experience in the oil and gas sector. Boma started her career in the oil and gas industry with the Shell Petroleum Development Company Limited, a company she joined in December 2000. Her over 20 years of work experience in SPDC transited through various roles in the External Relations Directorate. She started her career as a Monitoring and Evaluation Officer of Community Development Projects; she functioned as a Community Development Officer, Community Relations Officer; GMoU Implementation Officer in Major Projects /Operations Teams, and Community Relations Lead.
Before assuming her current role, Boma was the Manager of Community Affairs for Eroton E&P and doubled on secondment for Midwestern Oil and Gas Company for about two years before her full transition to Midwestern Oil and Gas Company in August 2023.
Boma is an astute negotiator and stakeholders’ manager with extensive experience in issues management, change management, and planning.
Upon assuming her career in SPDC, she had undertaken several local and international courses in social performance and social investments in addition to peace and conflict management.
Boma Alalibo consistently received an award as the best Community Relations Officer in SPDC for two consecutive years.
She is married and is blessed with five children. In her spare time, she enjoys gardening, swimming, and music.
