Charles Odita holds a First Class Honours, Bachelors of Engineering degree (1984) and a Masters of Engineering (1987) in Chemical Engineering from the University of Benin, Nigeria. Thereafter, he worked as an Industrial Water Technical Sales Engineer with Pinnacle Holdings Limited in Lagos. Between 1988 and 2007, he worked with Shell Petroleum Development Company of Nigeria Limited (SPDC), with over four years of cross-posting with Netherlands Aardoile Maatschappij (NAM) in Assen, Netherlands (the local Dutch oil-producing company) and Shell Research in Rijswijk, Netherlands.
From 2007 to 2014, he worked with Notore Chemical Industries Ltd, as Chief Technical Officer, Group Chief Technical Officer and he left as the Group Chief Operating Officer.
He is a Chartered Engineer registered by the Council for the Regulation of Engineering in Nigeria (COREN), Chartered Engineer (CEng) of the British Engineering Council a member of the Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE), a Fellow of the Nigerian Society of Chemical Engineers (FNSChE), a Fellow of the Nigerian Society of Engineers (FNSE), a member of American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME), Professional Member of Institute of Materials, Minerals and Mining (MIMMM) UK, and a Member of Institute of Directors (IOD).
He has written various technical papers, has attended several technical and management programmes in Nigeria, Netherlands, UK, and USA. He is an alumnus of the Advanced Management Program (AMP) course of the Harvard Business School, Boston, USA.
He joined the Midwestern Oil and Gas Company Limited, Nigeria in 2014 and worked as Managing Director and currently working as the Group Managing Director/CEO. He sits on the board of several companies.
He is married with children and enjoys travelling, leisure walking and watching documentaries
