Glenn Olowojaiye Ubohmhe is the Head, Budget, Planning, Tax & Finance. He obtained his first degree in Accounting from Ambrose Alli University, Ekpoma, an M.Sc in Energy Finance and an LLM in Petroleum Taxation & Finance, both from the Centre for Energy, Petroleum, Mineral Law & Policy (CEPMLP), University of Dundee, UK. He also holds an MBA from Lagos Business School. He is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN) and the Chartered Institute of Taxation of Nigeria (CITN).
With over two decades of post-graduation experience, Glenn has a rich background in the oil and gas sector, corporate and investment banking, and consulting. His areas of expertise straddles project/corporate finance, financial control, tax planning, performance management, and risk management.
Glenn served as Divisional Director at Matrix Energy Group, overseeing Finance, Internal Control/Audit, and Performance Management. Prior to this role, he was the Group Head of Control & Performance Management at Aiteo Eastern E&P Limited.
At UBA Plc, Glenn was Group Head of Power Infrastructure Finance and was later transferred to the executive office where he provided support to executive management on strategy and performance management. Glenn’s career also includes a stint in tax and financial advisory.
He is the immediate past chairman of the Nigerian Gas Association (NGA) Study Group on Fiscal, Regulatory, and Legal matters, contributing to key policy recommendations such as the Nigerian Gas Pipeline Transportation Network Code and domestic gas pricing. He was a member of the Oil Producers Trade Section (OPTS) sub-committee on ethics and compliance.
He has presented several papers on the energy sector, contributed to policy debates on a range of subjects in major newspapers and facilitated training sessions on tax administration and compliance for State Internal Revenue Services in Nigeria. Glenn has received numerous awards and honours, including the Society of Petroleum Engineers (International) award for outstanding service, the NGA special recognition award, and award for deal structuring.
His hobbies include golfing and reading.
