Midwestern Oil & Gas Company Limited (MWOG) and its JV Partner, SunTrust Atlantic Energies Limited have achieved another milestone in community partnership with the official unveiling of the Umusadege/Umusam/Ogbeani Host Communities Development Trust (HCDT).
The event, coordinated by the Community Affairs Department, also featured the oath-taking of the newly appointed Board of Trustees. This important milestone is a clear step toward the sustainable development of our host communities, in alignment with the provisions of the Petroleum Industry Act (PIA) 2021.
The ceremony attracted prominent attendees, including representatives from the Delta State Government via the Ministry of Oil & Gas, the Ndokwa West Local Government Chairman, officials from the Nigerian Upstream Petroleum Regulatory Commission (NUPRC), executives from Zenith Bank Kwale, the consultant team, traditional rulers, and other key community stakeholders. Leading the delegation from Midwestern and its JV partner were the General Manager of HR & Corporate Services, GM, Finance at SunTrust Atlantic Energies Limited, accompanied by the Asset Manager, Field Superintendent, Head of the Community Affairs Department, and other Midwestern personnel.
The unveiling underscores MWOG’s philosophy that true operational success is inseparable from the prosperity and well‑being of its host communities, reinforcing its reputation as a responsible and responsive energy partner in the Niger Delta.
With the BoT and other HCDT Committee members in place, the company reaffirm its continuous technical support and transparent reporting to all stakeholders.
