Corporate Social Responsibility

Midwestern Oil & Gas Company Limited reiterates its commitment to operating as an ethically and socially responsible company through its CSR initiatives. A significant obstacle in the Niger Delta region is the insufficient development of infrastructure, hindering communities from accessing the standard of living they rightfully deserve.

In active response, Midwestern has effectively carried out projects in the local communities to improve their circumstances and quality of life.
In line with globally recognized standards, we have implemented CSR initiatives in the areas of education, healthcare, infrastructural development, economic empowerment, and youth development.

The projects implemented include medical outreaches, the construction of roads, community building, classroom blocks, and a fully furnished 20-bed amenity ward. In addition, we have executed power-related projects and in support of culture, we have implemented the Owesse Lake re-channelization project to revive an abandoned fishing festival.

Our Host Communities

The Company has achieved success through our ability to peacefully coexist with our host communities. This is as a result of the Company’s various CSR initiatives which have over the years contributed meaningfully to the social and economic development of our host communities and improved the quality of life of the people, their families and the society at large.
