Mr. Valentine Oboden Ibru holds two Bachelor of Science (Hons.) degrees in Finance and Decision Sciences from the University of San Francisco, USA, and a Master of Business Administration from the International Graduate School of Management (IESE), Navarra, Spain. He is a member of the Chartered Institute of Bankers of Nigeria and a fellow of the Institute of Directors.

He is a finance and governance powerhouse with over twenty-eight (28) years of experience in the financial services related sectors. He has held key positions in treasury, branch management and operations before being made the ED/COO of Oceanic Bank International Plc following which he set up the investment banking house, Oceanic Capital Company Limited, as MD/CEO.

He has held numerous board appointments in the past such as Oando, BusinessDay and Aero Contractors, and currently serves on the boards of Primera Microfinance Bank Limited and MetroHealth HMO Limited.

Mr. Ibru is currently the Acting Managing Director/CEO of Midwestern Oil & Gas Company Limited, prior to which he served on the Midwestern Board for four years in a non-executive capacity and brings to bear his vast corporate and professional knowledge.
