Midwestern Oil & Gas Company Limited recently paid a strategic courtesy visit to His Excellency, RT. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, Governor of Delta State, at the Government House in Asaba.
The delegation, led by our Managing Director/CEO, Engr. (Mrs) Elozino Olaniyan, FNSE, FNSChE, FNISafetyE and accompanied by members of the Senior Executive Management Team, engaged the Governor in discussions focused on partnership, responsible energy development, and long-term socio-economic impact.
The visit provided an opportunity to formally introduce the leadership team representing the Midwestern brand. While acknowledging the Company’s operational performance and production milestones, the MD/CEO emphasised that Midwestern’s corporate philosophy extends beyond output metrics to sustainable value creation within its host communities and the state at large.
A key highlight of the engagement was the alignment of Midwestern’s corporate social investment and community development initiatives with the State Government’s MORE Agenda, a policy framework centred on Meaningful development, Opportunities for all, Realistic reforms, and Enhanced peace and security.
In her remarks, the MD/CEO reaffirmed Midwestern’s commitment to supporting initiatives that advance:

The Governor welcomed the engagement and acknowledged the importance of constructive collaboration between the State Government and responsible operators in advancing Delta State’s development trajectory.
