Midwestern Reinforces Commitment to Nurturing Future Energy Talent with FUPRE Facility Tour
Midwestern Oil & Gas Company Limited has reaffirmed its commitment to building a sustainable talent pipeline by hosting a delegation of students from the Federal University of Petroleum Resources, Effurun (FUPRE) on a comprehensive facility tour of its Kwale operational field in Delta State on August 14, 2025.
The industrial visit was designed to bridge the gap between theoretical knowledge and practical application, providing the future energy professionals with a firsthand look at the intricate processes involved in modern oil and gas operations.
During the tour, the students were guided through various key installations by our experienced engineers and field HSE officer. They observed operational processes, learned about the cutting-edge technology employed at the facility, and received in-depth explanations on the stringent Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) standards that govern every aspect of the company’s activities.

The visit was an interactive session, with students actively engaging the Midwestern team with insightful questions about production, asset integrity, and career pathways within the industry.
This initiative underscores our belief in investing in human capital to drive the future of our industry and the nation, which focuses on empowering youth and promoting educational growth within Nigeria. By investing in the next generation of industry leaders, Midwestern contributes to Nigeria’s educational advancement and prepares the next generation of industry leaders.
