Mr. Imasekha is a Chartered Accountant with extensive experience in banking. His career began in 1982 at International Merchant Bank, where he gained expertise in credit and marketing, corporate banking, investment banking, and treasury management. He later joined the newly privatized United Bank for Africa (UBA) as Executive Director of Investment Banking and subsequently served as Executive Director of Corporate Banking.
A pioneer in Nigeria’s telecommunications industry, Mr. Imasekha was a founding director and key promoter of Econet Wireless Nigeria Limited (now Airtel), playing a significant role in the early development of mobile telephony in the country. He is also a co-founder of CYBERSOC Africa Limited, a leading cybersecurity company in Nigeria that provides world-class protection to major banks, the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), and large organizations in both the public and private sectors.
Mr. Imasekha is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (FCA) and holds a Master’s degree in Business Administration (MBA) from City University Business School, London. He has attended numerous executive management and leadership programs, including the Advanced Management Programme (AMP) at Harvard Business School, the Corporate Strategy Programme at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), and the Advanced Management Programme at Oxford University.
