Shaping Nigeria’s Energy Future: Midwestern Strengthens Industry Engagement at NIES 2026

Midwestern Oil & Gas Company Limited actively participated in the recently concluded 2026 Nigeria International Energy Summit (NIES 2026), joining key policymakers, regulators, industry leaders, and global stakeholders in advancing critical conversations shaping Nigeria’s energy future.

The summit, anchored on the theme “Energy for Peace and Prosperity: Securing Our Shared Future,” provided a high-level platform for dialogue around policy alignment, energy security, regulatory stability, investment sustainability, and long-term value creation across the energy value chain.

Our Managing Director/CEO, Engr. (Mrs.) Elozino Olaniyan, accompanied by members of the Senior Executive Management Team, represented Midwestern across strategic engagements throughout the summit. Their presence reinforced the company’s commitment to constructive participation in industry discourse and alignment with national energy priorities.

Beyond plenary sessions, NIES 2026 served as a strategic opportunity to deepen stakeholder relationships, strengthen institutional collaboration, and reaffirm Midwestern’s role as a responsible and forward-thinking operator within Nigeria’s oil and gas sector.

As the summit concluded, one message remained clear: sustainable growth in the energy industry will continue to depend on partnership, innovation, regulatory coherence, and leadership accountability. Midwestern remains committed to contributing meaningfully to these ongoing conversations as we collectively shape a resilient and competitive energy future for Nigeria.
