Professor Enase Okonedo, FCA, is a professor of management with over 30 years of experience in the financial services and higher education sectors. She is currently the Vice-Chancellor of Pan-Atlantic University, Lagos, Nigeria. Prior to this, she was dean of Lagos Business School (LBS) from July 2009 until December 2020. As Dean, she was instrumental in transforming Lagos Business School to a globally recognized and a foremost business school in Africa, gaining global accreditations and rankings. Prior to joining Lagos Business School, she worked in the financial services sector in Nigeria.
A seasoned educator and experienced board member, she has served on the boards of companies in telecommunications, banking, energy and food & beverage sectors. She has also served on the boards of top global management education bodies such as of the Global Business School Network (GBSN); United Nations Principles for Responsible Management Education (UNPRME); Graduate Management Admission Council (GMAC, owners of the GMAT exam). She has also held leadership positions on the boards of AACSB International – the foremost accrediting body for business schools globally – as Secretary-Treasurer, and the Association of African Business Schools where she was Chairperson.
Professor Okonedo currently serves as an independent non-executive director on the boards of Ecobank Transnational Incorporated (ETI), Lome, Togo and ATC Nigeria Wireless Infrastructure where she is the chairperson.
She holds a doctorate degree in Business Administration from International School of Management (ISM), Paris; an MBA from IESE Business School, Barcelona and a bachelor’s degree in accounting from the University of Benin.
She is a fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN); the Chartered Institute of Directors, Nigeria (CIoDN); the Society for Corporate Governance Nigeria (SCGN) as well as the International Academy of Management (IAM).
