Strengthening Regulatory Engagement and Sector Alignment: Midwestern Engages NMDPRA Leadership in Abuja

As part of its institutional engagement strategy, OUR MD/CEO, Engr. (Mrs.) Elozino Olaniyan, FNSE, FNSChE, FNISafetyE accompanied by members of the Senior Management Team, paid a courtesy visit to the Authority Chief Executive of the Nigerian Midstream and Downstream Petroleum Regulatory Authority (NMDPRA), Mr. Saidu Mohammed, in Abuja.

       

       

The visit provided an important platform to reinforce Midwestern’s commitment to regulatory compliance, operational integrity, and alignment with the Petroleum Industry Act (PIA) framework governing Nigeria’s petroleum sector.

Engagement discussions addressed regulatory efficiency, transparent reporting, infrastructure optimization, gas development initiatives, and collaborative approaches to strengthening the midstream value chain. The dialogue also explored opportunities to enhance operational predictability, regulatory clarity, and investment sustainability within the evolving energy ecosystem.

Midwestern reiterated its unwavering dedication to working constructively with regulatory authorities to ensure safe, compliant, and efficient operations. The engagement reflects the company’s belief that strong regulator–operator relationships are foundational to sector stability, investor confidence, and national energy security.
