Engr. Adeche Abiodun Omotosho-Oboro is the Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer of Umugini Pipeline Infrastructure Limited (UPIL).
Adeche is a seasoned professional with a career spanning over twenty-eight (28) years, with more than half of that time spent in senior managerial roles within the oil and gas industry.
He holds a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Lagos and a Master’s degree in Business Administration from the prestigious Business School, Netherlands. Adeche is a registered Engineer with the Council for the Regulation of Engineering in Nigeria (COREN), a member of the Nigeria Society of Engineers (MNSE), a member of the Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE), a member of the Project Management Institute, a Fellow of the Association of Enterprise Risk Management Professionals (FAER), and is certified as a Project Management Professional (PMP).
Adeche Omotosho-Oboro began his professional journey in the oil and gas sector in 1995 with Shell Petroleum Development Company. During his tenure there, he worked across various oil and gas fields operated by SPDC. In 2009, he joined Midwestern Oil & Gas Co. Limited as a Senior Operations Supervisor, quickly advancing to the role of Asset Manager in 2014. Under his leadership, the asset and team achieved the distinction of becoming Nigeria’s highest producing marginal field. Subsequently, Adeche assumed the role of Chief Technical Officer at Midwestern, overseeing both upstream and midstream activities. He has also served as Head of Midwestern JV and Head of Production at Eroton Exploration and Production Company, contributing effectively to their operations.
Adeche Omotosho-Oboro brings to UPIL extensive experience in operations and technical advisory roles, having been involved in advising on high-profile transactions in Nigeria in recent years.
Outside of his professional endeavours, Adeche is married to Toyin Omotosho-Oboro and is blessed with children. He has a keen interest in cultivating relationships, reading, football, photography, and is an avid golfer.
