Mr. Anthony Okoye

Anthony C. Okoye holds a Bachelor of Science degree (1996) in Science Technology & Chemistry / Biochemistry from Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka, and Master of Science (2006) in Engineering Management, from University of Benin, Nigeria.

Anthony has over 22 years of experience in Environmental Consulting, Business Development, and Oil & Gas Industry. He worked with Hobel Resources Limited from 1997 to 1999, where among other tasks, he supervised UNDP-assisted Projects in Delta State. He then joined Catalyst2000 Technologies Limited in 1999 as a Business Development Analyst, a position he held for one year. In 2001, he joined Emval Holdings Limited as the Quality Assurance Engineer, a role he held for five years before becoming the QHSE Manager in 2006. In this position, he worked on several projects and accounts like Shell, Seplat, Addax, Pan-Ocean & NPDC Well Intervention Contracts, and Emval ISO 9000 Certification Project.

He has professional training & certifications in QHSE Management, ISO 14001/9000 & OHSAS 18001 Standards Lead Auditor Programme, Oil Spill Management, Project Management & Executive Team Leadership.

He joined Midwestern Oil & Gas Company Limited in 2012 as HSE Manager. He was promoted to Principal Manager cadre in 2018 as Head, HSE.

A few of his significant achievements include being one of the foundation members that pioneered the bill on the Institute of Registered Safety Professionals of Nigeria (ISPON) and playing a pivotal role in Midwestern’s 10 Million Man-hours Lost Time Injury-free milestone attained in 2016.

He is a member of the following professional bodies – Nigerian Institute of Management; International Institute of Risk and Safety Management, United Kingdom; Institute of Registered Safety Professionals of Nigeria; American Society of Safety Engineers; Nigerian Environmental Society; Technical Committee Member, Clean Nigeria Associate; Member Safety & Environment Subcommittee of Oil Producers Trade Section of Lagos Chamber of Commerce.

Mr. Okoye is married with children. He enjoys football and reading with interest in leadership.
