Engr. Adeniyi Majekodunmi is the Managing Director, Mart Umusadege Resources Nigeria Limited. 

Adeniyi holds a bachelor’s degree in petroleum engineering from the University of Port Harcourt and a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the University of South Wales (UK). He further enhanced his management skills with a Certificate in General Management from Harvard Business School (US). 

He is a distinguished professional in the oil and gas industry with over two decades of experience encompassing Operations and Maintenance, Facilities, Drilling and Completions, Contract Management, Asset Management, and Integrity.  

His expertise spans production operations, asset management and integrity, design and construction, equipment selection and layout, plant operability, commissioning activities, facility maintenance, field administration, personnel management and training, and regulatory stakeholder management. 

Adeniyi has occupied different roles and led various teams, consistently demonstrating remarkable leadership and an unwavering commitment to operational sustainability. He has effectively managed budgets, mitigated risks, and significantly contributed to production growth, achieving a peak production of 25,000 barrels per day, an all-time high for a Marginal Field Operator at that time. He also served as the Commissioning Lead for Midwestern’s Ultra-Modern Central Processing Facility, where he developed and executed the operations philosophy and strategy, coordinated operations readiness and assurance, and drove the field’s production growth. 

He also had a stint at OML-18 as Asset Manager, overseeing three operated and one non-operated assets. His strategic focus on key performance indicators, cost-saving initiatives, and seamless collaboration underscored his ability to deliver tangible results while optimizing operating costs and maintaining safety and environmental standards. 

Throughout his career, Adeniyi has excelled in diverse roles within offshore, swamp, and onshore operations.  

Adeniyi is a Registered Engineer with COREN, a member of The Nigeria Society of Engineers, a member of The Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE) International, and a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Administration. He is also an alumnus of Harvard Business School.
