Timothy Ibrahim is the Senior Drilling Manager, at Midwestern Oil and Gas Company Nigeria Limited. He holds a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Mechanical Engineering from Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria.
Timothy has over 32 years of Oil and Gas industry experience with specialization in Rig and Rigless projects within the Royal Shell Group where he worked until November 2023. His training, experience, and technical skills cover the design and execution of HPHT exploration wells, appraisal and development wells, completion and well test projects. He has also executed several rigless stimulations, cased hole, and open hole sand control projects, well integrity investigation, and remediation projects for a stock of 1200 wells. He is highly experienced in greenfield and brownfield wells projects and is a highly respected team player. His last role in Shell was Well Operations Manager, Well Intervention, where he carried out an average annual 60-80 rigless interventions and added 30-45 kboepd per annum. He has implemented key enabling technologies like Managed pressure drilling (MPD) in delivering the HPHT projects. Timothy’s experience covers land, amphibious, swamp, and shallow offshore terrains in both rig and rigless project design and delivery.
Some of Timothy’s key achievements include the delivery of the EA shallow offshore project, which drilled, completed, and lifted 33 wells and delivered over 105kbopd. He also delivered the Gbaran phase 2 Managed Carried Agreement projects and earned the Shell Group Upstream EVP award for excellence in project delivery (2012). The Successful delivery of the HPHT projects also earned him another Shell Group EVP Upstream award (2018)
Timothy is a member of the Society of Petroleum Engineers.
Timothy is married with four children. He loves swimming, jogging, and spending time with family.
